Hello, and welcome! I’m Becky, and I’m so thrilled you’ve joined me on this faith-based blog. At 50 years old, this blog has been a long-time dream and really a desire to speak honestly and truthfully about what it’s like to have a desire to be a godly woman/wife/mom/friend in these times.
I’m a wife, a mother to kids in their twenties, a daughter, a small business owner, and a full-time professional in benefits administration for a Fortune 500 company. My little piece of heaven on earth is sitting on our back porch in the early mornings, drinking coffee, watching my birds and spending time in the presence of God reading His word. Our back porch is truly my little slice of heaven on earth. My other favorite thing to do is hang with my husband & our adult children; they just get more fun as they get older!

Life hasn’t always been a smooth path & let’s be real for a moment and ask “whose life is smooth??!!” But more to come on that & how exactly this blog name of “From Shame to the Sanctuary” got it’s name will be later. Stories to tell & share there.
Who I Am
As a mom to kids in their twenties, I’ve navigated the joys and challenges of raising young adults alongside my husband. Together, we run a childcare business and a health and wealth insurance agency, which keep us busy but fulfilled. My full-time career in health and wellness benefits administration for a Fortune 500 company adds another layer to my life, blending my passion for wellness with professional expertise. I’m an introvert at heart and need the quiet time to refuel & recharge. I like to process internally and as any good Southern woman does – keep everything inside with a smile on the outside but I’m learning how to be authentic, hence this blog.
My favorite Bible chapter is Psalm 139. I have clung to this chapter more times than can count.

On From Shame to the Sanctuary, I’ll share my life, journey of faith, family, and history because I didn’t get HERE without having some stories. This blog is for the woman who is searching for more in this life, searching for a real experience with God the Father, Jesus and the person of the Holy Spirit. It’s for the woman who loves being a woman and doesn’t want to be equal to a man because we are uniquely created to be women which is a WONDERFUL gift! This space is for the wives and moms who deeply know that while we may love being a wife & mom, this life is not for the faint of heart and you’d better have a backbone & shoulders hard as steel for what we carry for our families.
